CEVA and Actions Technology are expanding their collaboration with new Bluetooth HDT audio chips aimed at delivering higher-quality wireless sound across automotive and other connected audio applications.
The new solutions combine Actions Technology’s Bluetooth audio processors with CEVA’s wireless connectivity technology, targeting the growing demand for higher-resolution, lower-latency audio transmission. The companies are positioning Bluetooth HDT as a way to improve wireless listening while maintaining efficient bandwidth and power consumption.
For automotive applications, the technology could support increasingly sophisticated cabin audio environments where smartphones, headphones, speakers and vehicle infotainment systems need to communicate reliably. Wireless audio quality is becoming particularly important as manufacturers reduce physical connections and build more device-centric digital cockpits.
The development also comes as vehicle audio systems evolve beyond conventional music playback. Immersive sound, individualized listening zones, gaming and streaming services are creating new requirements around latency, synchronization and audio fidelity.
