Autonomous driving technology company WeRide has announced the deployment of its end-to-end advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) in the GAC Aion N60 SUV, marking a new milestone in the commercial rollout of intelligent driving solutions.
The system is designed to improve vehicle perception, decision-making and driving assistance by combining data from sensors, cameras and AI-powered software into a unified platform. By using an end-to-end architecture, the technology aims to deliver smoother and more responsive driver assistance across real-world road conditions.
The integration into GAC Aion’s N60 SUV highlights how Chinese automakers are increasingly accelerating the adoption of advanced software features as competition in the smart EV market intensifies. Intelligent driving capabilities are becoming a major differentiator alongside battery range, pricing and digital services.
For WeRide, the deployment demonstrates the company’s continued expansion beyond robotaxis and autonomous mobility services into passenger vehicle applications. It also reflects the broader trend of specialist autonomous driving firms partnering with OEMs to bring their technologies into mass-market vehicles.
As demand grows for smarter and safer vehicles, ADAS solutions powered by AI are expected to play a central role in the next generation of connected and autonomous mobility.
