CATCHPLAY+ Expands Into Connected Vehicles Through DTS AutoStage Video Platform

CATCHPLAY+ is set to bring its premium video entertainment offering into the automotive space through a new partnership with Xperi‘s DTS AutoStage Video Service, powered by TiVo.

Scheduled to launch in July 2026, the service will initially be available in selected premium vehicle models across Taiwan, Indonesia, and Singapore. The integration will allow drivers and passengers to access CATCHPLAY+’s catalogue of movies, TV series, and live channel content directly from the vehicle’s infotainment display.

The collaboration reflects the growing convergence between automotive technology and digital media, as connected vehicles increasingly become platforms for content consumption. Automakers are seeking to transform the in-car experience by offering entertainment services comparable to those available on smart TVs, smartphones, and streaming devices.

By combining CATCHPLAY+’s content library with the DTS AutoStage ecosystem, the companies aim to provide OEMs with a more comprehensive entertainment solution capable of enhancing passenger engagement and differentiating future vehicle offerings.

The announcement highlights a broader trend within the automotive industry, where infotainment systems are evolving beyond navigation and connectivity to become fully integrated media hubs. Video streaming, personalized content recommendations, and connected entertainment services are expected to play a growing role as vehicles become increasingly software-defined.

For CATCHPLAY+, the move represents an expansion beyond traditional streaming environments and into the rapidly emerging in-car entertainment market, where demand for premium content experiences continues to grow.
