HARMAN Takes Its Automotive Software Portfolio to the SDVerse Marketplace

0

HARMAN is opening a new route for automakers to source its software, joining SDVerse, the B2B marketplace dedicated to automotive software. The move puts HARMAN’s digital cockpit, app ecosystem and software-development technologies into a centralized environment where OEMs can discover and evaluate solutions for software-defined vehicle programs.

One of the most relevant additions for the in-car app ecosystem is Ready Link Marketplace. The white-label app store enables automakers to distribute applications and digital experiences inside their vehicles while retaining control over their brand, customer relationships and data.

HARMAN is also listing Ready CQuence Loop, which allows vehicle software to be developed and validated in the cloud before hardware is available, alongside Ready CQuence Run, its Type-1 hypervisor designed for digital cockpits, ADAS and domain controllers. Together, these technologies target the increasingly software-centric architecture behind next-generation vehicles.

Its portfolio extends into the cabin with Ready Care, combining driver and occupant monitoring with physiological sensing, as well as Intelligent Cockpit Middleware, a hardware- and SoC-agnostic platform providing reusable software components for digital cockpit development.

HARMAN is also bringing its Digital Cockpit Experience Design capabilities to SDVerse. These include more than 40 reusable assets, Figma-to-Code automation and AI-assisted development for infotainment systems, instrument clusters and head-up displays. Software verification and validation services using more than 70,000 reusable test assets are also part of the initial offering.

The broader significance is how automotive software itself is becoming easier to discover and procure. Instead of every OEM-supplier relationship beginning through traditional sourcing processes, platforms such as SDVerse are positioning software products, middleware and engineering capabilities in a marketplace model.

For automotive apps in particular, HARMAN’s participation connects several layers of the ecosystem: app distribution, cockpit middleware, HMI development, cloud validation and the underlying computing environment. HARMAN says it plans to continue expanding the products and engineering services available through SDVerse.
