Mazda Turns to PTC Codebeamer to Streamline Software-Defined Vehicle Development

0

Mazda Motor Corporation has selected PTC’s Codebeamer application lifecycle management platform to support its growing focus on software-defined vehicles.

PTC announced that the solution will help Mazda unify how it manages requirements, testing and validation, while improving traceability across the entire development process and ensuring compliance with automotive standards.

By adopting Codebeamer, Mazda aims to bring greater structure and visibility to its engineering workflows. The platform is expected to help teams identify issues earlier, connect model-based engineering data with requirements and validation results, and improve overall coordination across complex development projects.

The system also supports safety-critical engineering processes, milestone tracking and risk assessment during advanced stages of vehicle development. Instead of relying on multiple disconnected legacy tools, Mazda will use Codebeamer as a centralized digital environment for product data—helping improve quality control, streamline compliance and enable reuse of engineering knowledge and testing outcomes.

As part of PTC’s broader product lifecycle ecosystem, Codebeamer is designed to help manufacturers better manage increasing software complexity, strengthen collaboration across global teams and maintain alignment with evolving regulatory demands.
